Free TurboTax Premier (Federal E File) Online for Fidelity customers

Something else, when you used to login to your account earlier, it used to display Fidelity on the top right corner. Now, the turbo tax page just has a brown border with no Fidelity logo. I wonder if Fidelity withdrew the offer.

meh tried chatting and the CSR basically said that the offer is expired and didn't offer a promo code.

rather funny that it costs more to use their website than it does if I purchased a CD.

Fidelity withdrew the offer although it still shows that info on their website. Now I go back to my TT page and it shows only my other financial institute I started the TT Deluxe for free earlier. I had upgraded to Premier while Fidelity was offering it for free. Now they leave no mark of Fidelity anywhere on TT. I just sent them a message to complain.

Now they changed their page on tax preparation offer to "Save up to $20". With links at that page, I can entered the TT site with Fidelity logo, but I think I'll be charged with the new price when submit for efiling.

If I did most of my return and just need to submit for efile with this offer, I am still good to go no charge. Can anyone confirm?

fark Fidelity dude. Why don't they hire better programmers that know how to create unique links? Now you have a huge customer service nightmare that has turned people off to two companies - Fidelity AND Intuit.

Well it worked initially...went back today and was showing $34.99. Contacted Customer Service via Chat on Turbo Tax and they quickly gave me a code to zero out the cost. Came out free and I'm happy.

I went to checkout today and realized they are charging now, not cool! It took me 3 chats over 3 hours to get them to give me a free code. They were pretty nice but what a hassle. Guess thats what us Slickdealers go through to save a buck!

Mr.Slausen & Fletch113: Can you please elaborate on the code they give you? Is it like a one-time use code or something they tie into your acct that can only be used by you? Does it have to be used right away?

I'd love to try to do this but can't file yet because most of the reported tax stuff hasn't arrived yet, so I'm hoping I can get a code that can be used when I'm ready to file.

Got a code after chatting with a nice guy over in India. Seems like the code they give you can be entered without having to finish your filing yet. So, it will allow you to enter the code and then go back and finish your return.

how are you guys getting the code? when i ask they state the only code is to give deluxe for $10 and premier for 20

btw if anyone with 1 million $ uses turbo tax then i doubt they will have 1 million very long

The code is a "service code" which you enter on one of the final screens before filing. It takes care of the Turbo Tax Premier fee & federal e-file fee, in my case I only paid $27 which was my state fee. I imagine its one time use only since they told me to hold on while they generated the code. I used mine right away so I can't say for sure if there is an expiration. Its worth chatting with them to see.
