Gun Deal: Ruger LCP .380 Pistol $290 + FS from Sportsman Outdoor Superstore

Awesome gun. Got mine for about $285+tax through my local shop with "military discount" and have seen them in a similar range so this is a pretty good deal.

Direct competitor with the S&W Bodyguard and I prefer the LCP. I find myself carrying this more than I do my XD9SC. It's just to easy to grab it, throw it in my pocket and go. No attaching/detaching holsters and hardly even realize the thing is there. It's by no means a range gun but serves its purpose as a pocket pistol very well.

Fully loaded I weighed it at 12oz (without holster) and the XD9SC came in at 32oz (without holster).

I use a Desantis Nemesis and it works well for the money.

Great gun.

Not fun to shoot and has a long trigger pull that takes getting used to (my other gun is a Glock). However, it's tiny, easy to carry, and I have enough rounds through it that I trust it to be reliable when it matters.

I use the recluse holster.

Good stuff. Same price and place as my LC9 last year. Good experience dealing with them on my first FFL transfer.

I have seen it on sale for $279 around here last week. MSRP is inflated as usual. This is no deal, unless you are one of those who consider any handgun in stock these days to be a hot deal.

And you can get some cheap ammo for it so you can become proficient with your new pocket gun...

For CCW use, some local sheriff departments frown upon any "modifications" done to your weapon. So if you intend to have a laser on your carry piece, having it come from the factory that way might be worth considering.

Agreed. the long trigger pull gets me too every time I shoot it (only have 50 rounds through mine) - I paid a bit more but mine has a laser - my sister was hitting cans at ~30 feet - second time ever shooting a pistol.
