Helped someone sight a laser in on one of these. I slowly started pulling the trigger, and pulling..... and did some more pulling and like ten minutes later after moving my finger what seemed like ten feet the gun finally fired.
If you are used to firing something striker fired or with a single action trigger these can be hard to get used to, but that is just how a lot of these little guns are I guess. |

I suggest getting the magazine that has the finger rest on the bottom as well.

edit: It doesn't have a loaded chamber indicator or mag disconnect. This is why it's illegal in CA.

Overall this is a nice piece, but I think I'd personally go with the 9mm laser version if I were to do it over again - though that takes you to a whole new price range almost. The .380 rounds are too pricy and after about two clips I am done shooting for the day (it hurts my wrist that much). On the flip side, it feels more like an extension to your arm and it's surprisingly accurate for me and since it's not a target pistol, that's what's important for this type of gun. ---

I got the Taurus 738 TCP .380 for $199.99 recently. Great little CC gun and the slide stays locked open after the last round fired, which is rare for a little .380.

If you are looking for your first handgun, my suggestion would be to go to a range that rents handguns and put as many in your hand and fire them. This will give you an idea of what size and caliber you might wish to purchase. In general a 9mm handgun is only marginally more expensive to purchase than a .380ACP, but is generally much cheaper to shoot. The drawback, is that the LCP is a pocket pistol and is smaller than say, a LC9, which is a 9mm pocket pistol made by the same company (Ruger). However, both are very concealable. So, my advice, get to a shooting range and rent/borrow as many different frames (guns) and calibers as you can. It can/will save you money in the long run.
