Yes and no ... If you are porting a number then you can get the deal, if you are setting up a brand new number then no you can't get the deal because you have no number to register.

Thankfully, you shouldn't have to even remember about this promo. When you go to upgrade in Best Buy, it will auto pop for the associate to select it and print it out.

No harm in registering and trying but this is what the FAQ says: Mobile broadband devices, landline phone plans and voice-over-Internet phone plans are excluded.

I think that means setting those up in store .. You would be activating a mobile phone, so it should qualify. I know ports from land-line qualify because I did one on the last promotion. And I believe that is how you would have to process a GV port.

Do I have this right??? I'm planning to switch my phone from US Cellular to Verizon. So, I would register my number, then go in to Best Buy to sign up for Verizon, sign the 2yr contract & purchase my phone at Best Buy (and I could use the GC on the phone, too). Right??

I also have a friend who currently has Verizon. His contract is almost up and is eligible for a phone upgrade. So he can register his current phone, purchase his new upgraded phone from Best Buy and get the GC, right??

Sorry read all of the posts but still a bit confused, I plan to switch from ATT to T-Mobile's Value plan (total 2 lines), I just bought the N4 from Google for 1 line and will use my old iPhone for the other, will I be qualified for this or I have to purchase the phones from BB? Thanks

Yes you are correct, As long as you register the number, then either upgrade or port that number, you will get a GC that can be applied to the purchase.

You must purchase phones and upgrade or port the number registered.
