Mines was just installed, brand new unit not a floor model..very excited in the deal!
I was not looking for a fridge yet but I couldn't pass on this.
Now to fill in the 50.00 lowes and 30.00 energy stare rebate!!

Also I noticed that my 4yr warranty was set for the pull price of the unit..tried calling customer support and went nowhere..said it was based off full price..Going to lowes after and try to reprice it.
update:head into lowes and had my warranty price reduced per purchase price..happy camper..

There is a black one available in Framingham Mass. Ordered white from Wareham, got a call saying they couodnt find it. Call 1-800 and the guy searched. I found black and ordered it. 20 minutes later got a call from Wareham saying they found it. Had to cancel the black one and reorder white one. Wareham didn't want to honor the original mount I paid, $685(-$20 gc=$865 total). Customer service called Wareham and had them place order, again, for the $685 price. Will be here Sunday. It was the floor model, but they wouodnt budge on price.

I ordered one last night and a mumbling, not so bright guy called and said they couldn't find it in the store so he canceled the order and my card won't be charged and goodbye. Just as quick as that. Not even slightly apologetic as if I ordered some light bulbs and not something "big" like a fridge. I'm going to head over there and see if I can find it somewhere on the floor. It's back to showing in stock again even though my online order says pending.

Found one locally. Looks like these models are from 2009? Too bad I already purchased a similar version from that year without the in-door water and icemaker for $896 in October

Yes, they found it in the back. It was a floor model, so it was pulled.

Stainless steel does look very nice, but I too believe its fashion is on the down swing. It is not a "timeless" design choice. Add that to the fact it shows fingerprints easily and is a pain to keep clean (I have some stainless appliances so I have experience).

I've been in the middle of a remodel lately and some appliance makers have new models on the way that have finishes that look like ipads. With black or white base and a thick clear almost glass like covering over it. I am guessing that will probably be the next big thing in a few years. But only time will tell.

Bottom line, buy what you like, but no popular design will outlast a fridge that should work for decades.

i have this fridge in stainless. no problems with it. good fridge. i went online to see if i could get another for the garage..$2199 in west houston.

you cannot use the fridge locks to keep the kids out. it doesn't work..and there is no alarm for the freezer part only the fridge. ( something to think abt if you have little ones)

It's the facade people love. Stainless steel appliance makes people think they are getting commercial grade. It's like laminate floors vs real hardwood. It's amazing how many people on HGTV like laminate wood flooring until they are told. Long rant but stainless steel appliance is the yellow appliances of the 70's
