You still get the standard Canon warranty with your purchase. The Squaretrade email has nothing to do with the "manufacturer" warranty. I believe it's a standard email you receive when purchasing cameras from certain sellers on eBay.

Yes, this is a good price with the two lens. It all depends on how long you want to wait. Prices will come down but not by much in the short term. I was going to get this one but got the Sony Nex 6. Much smaller and easier to travel with. Takes great pics. See how you like those, if you haven't made up your mind yet on the camera.

great SLR for a beginner, I would also recommend the canon 50mm 1.8 lens (I learned a lot from this lens, and it's not expensive either), and later upgrading to the tamron 17-50 2.8 non VC as you start to get more serious into photography. Later when you're baller go for the L lenses! kenrockwell.com also has some good reviews

Don't know that I'd want to deal with ebay or CL to try and sell of the other lenses. I'd just keep them and add the STM which would kill the deal.
