Only for physical keyboard and removable battery. Everything else the One V does the same or better. If it helps, the lowest the Rise got was $30 and the One V for $50 between BF and Christmas. Check out side-by-side phone spec comparison like phonescoop if you haven't already.

Excellent deal if you can get the phone for 30, and it's decent for 60. It has pretty much all the specs you can expect from a cheap smartphone wifi/3g/mp3/internet. The only downsides: small screen and nasty resolution.

I have the Hydro (basically the same screen and internals as the Rise) and the HTC One V. The One V is a better screen and camera, but it seems even more sluggish than the Hydro, both have a 1ghz single core QC chip but I think the HTC taxes it more. Battery life is better on the Hydro, and the HTC One V screen breaks really easily (it sticks out of the case so a drop has a pretty good chance of landing glass first) and is expensive to fix a broken digitizer because they silicone glue it to the LCD, more expensive than the phone is worth.

Also I didn't like the bend on the One V, although some might.

The One V is far easier to see in sunlight as well as having a bigger, much better resolution and color depth screen.

Can you provide me a link for the page plus plan you listed below? I don't see it anywhere on their site- I'm a page plus customer.

TMobile's $100 plan for 1000 minutes for a year is 2.5 times more expensive. Also I have not used pageplus but I think they run on Verizon and thats much better reception than TMobile.

It says the 80$ plan can only be purchased through a dealer, which I don't have one in my area- do you know if there's place online to purchase these?
