I am in the market for a case like this, but this feedback on the red one stopped me:

"Where to start... It has an extreme design flaw that limits its use at all. When I was going to plug in the power I realized there was no power socket. I managed to find it... On the bottom of the case. This case comes with 2 feet to hold it upright. Even with the foot on the front end, the power cable still tips it over, How is this possible? IT HAS A POWER CABLE JUTTING OUT THE BOTTOM FRONT OF THE CASE. Not to even mention how it completely ruins the look of the case. "

The guy is totally right. If you look at all the pictures, you can see where the power cable connects. It would be on the bottom near the front if the case was upright, and probably throwing the whole case off balance. Or it would be on the side near the front if the case was on its side, and probably look ridiculous.

Power supply is 300W and a standard size - an advantage.

· USB 3.0 front port

$30 is about as low as you see these XION / Allied / Compucase units. Hopefully they've fixed the optical drive door issue this time around.

· Free shipping is always nice - shipping is the deal killer on cases!

Certainly wasn't planning to buy yet another computer case SD today...

I think it is a good price if one can live with the power connector at the bottom.

New Egg's picture shows this unit actually ships with the right angle power cord. I am wondering if this computer case tips over even when using the right angle power cord.

Can anyone answer my question?

I've been waiting for the day that a small case like this could make a nice budget gamer/performance PC smaller... still waiting I guess for the GFX manufacturers to shrink their designs.

There is no reason why GTX Ti or Radeon 78xx can not be half height, or any 100-150W TDP GPU for that matter.

Nvidia and AMD are you listening? Make it smaller, now

Had a similar XION case , if you want to stand it up you have to use the feet and the right angle plug will clear just fine . Would have been much better if they had it going out the back for sure though .

I've not had good luck with the low profile graphics cards. Maybe I just had bad luck, but after 2-3 bad ones, I gave up on them.

Cord seems fine. I was prepared to shim the feet, but looks OK.

@soar "ships with the right angle power cord" - Good catch, you just saved somebody $5. (Could not tell from photo's on XION's website.)

If you want more, take a look at the attached clipped photos of the feet under the case. It does look like there is enough clearance under the case to clear a right angle plug.

As a bonus, there might even be enough room to pass the cord between the bottom of the case and the rear stand, somewhat hiding the cord.

A power plug can be hard to insert fully - very hard, sometimes. If the Newegg reviewer did not push it in all the way, he would indeed have a tippy case. If so, will there be a followup "I am an idiot" review? Probably not.

I pay attention to Newegg reviews, but <insert your experience here>.

This looks like their best opening price point mATX/mini-ITX case yet.

tl;dr: Not tippy. Cord's fine. Push it in all the way.

It seemed this used a matx power supply instead of the standard size mentioned before.

nice case. the bottom loading PSU makes kind of ?!?! but i realize it helps save on space on the inside. so i suppose feet are required to use this case, along with a right-angle power adapter.

usb 3.0 front is definitely a nice plus. you don't find those on any case at this price. built-in card reader nice too

has anyone gotten this case? i have a question - does the built-in card reader use usb 3.0 as well?

Ok, one more question:

Is it possible to add one or two more 80mm fans on the inside?

I purchased an even smaller case last year and was able to add another 80mm fan on the side and it worked wonders to bring the case temps down.
