Oh god, get over it. You act as if it is unusable or something. There are low end tablets with low end specs, there are high end tablets with high end specs. If you want the 1920 res like the A700, please, be my guest and go blow $400 on it. Otherwise, for many people, a device at nearly half the cost with a low res display is perfectly suitable.

$200 for this tablet would be sweet. I'm in need for an e-book reader. However, many new tablets are coming, causing the price of this tablet drop further soon :sigh:

Jumped on it. I read the Ben's Outlet "factory refurbished" FAQ, and there shouldn't be any scratches or other significant cosmetic defects, and it has scratch resistant glass, which I like. Also, "Factory refurbished products also include a 90 day warranty period unless otherwise noted, to ensure that the product is defect-free."

Another note: Android 4.0 still supports flash; 4.1 does not. So, for example, if you got the Galaxy Note instead of this, you wouldn't have flash. With this, you do.

Regardless of what other tablets come out, I really don't think this one is going to drop in price any time soon.

What is replacing Flash? Theres so much in the web that uses it still.

Is it rootable? Did a search and saw a few different sites complaining that Toshiba locked the bootloader

I have, right when the 3 came out. My boss brought it by all excited to show off the difference the retina makes compared to a co-workers iPad 2. We were all incredibly disappointed and he was a bit embarrassed. I am not denying the difference in spec but the practical difference might only be noticeable in text and ebook reading. Otherwise, for us it was all the same. That experience kept me from upgrading from my iPad 2.

Those concerned about flash need not worry. You can side load the ics flash from the adobe archives site. Did it last night on my Jelly Bean running touchpad and was able to watch Amazon prime via the stock browser. I don't have the ability to post the link right now but do a quick search. I found the link via an XDA post.
