Can sell the lens for around the price of purchase, and selling the camera body will be pure profit.

And if it's not the power zoom, I'm covered by ebay buyer protection for return shipping, so all good.

Looking at Ebay, selling the lens will get you about 240 or so and the body abut 120 or so, so after fees, you'll make about $70'ish maybe. Not too bad, but too much hassle especially now that they are selling many more kits with X lenses now.

I own a GF3 with the 14-42mm X lens. I bought a used (like new) G3 about 4 months ago, and haven't touched my GF3 since. I use to roll my eyes at all the comments regarding the need for a viewfinder, but always pick up my G3 rather than my GF3 now. I even take it out of full auto on occasion!!

Still - a great price for the package, and a very cost-efficient way to enter the world of interchangeable lens cameras, with something that is quite small.

No, it still says: Catalog #: PNDMCGF3KR MFG Part #: DMC-GF3XR. Those are two different cameras. Also, look under the specifications. They are listing the same camera but with different lenses. Big difference in price. GF3XR>>> GF3KR

Can anyone confirm the actual camera and lens that comes in this kit yet?

Edit: Looking at the catalog number it only shows as a model/catalog/item number for BuyDig. I feel like they are just using that as a number for BuyDig catalog and not the actual model number from Panasonic. Take this with a grain of salt no actual confirmation.

I had this combo and did not like it and sold it on craigslist. The camera sensor is outdated and very noisy. The powerzoom lens is very convenient, but the image quality is not good. Read reviews for several reports of issues with the lens at telephoto settings.

This is a good price, but note that the camera is an older model and is really surpassed by the Panasonic GX1 or the Olympus E-PM2/E-PL5. The GX1 itself is about to be replaced too, to give you some perspective.

What makes this an interesting deal is the X lens, which collapses to a very small size and sells for about this price on its own. Unless you're specifically interested in that lens and using it on other cameras in the future, I would probably avoid the GF3 at this point.

IMHO, as someone who has owned both... its not that big a difference between the 3 and the 5. if you are going to pony up an extra $100+ for the 5 vs the 3 for the added low light performance I would rather just go with a NEX-5N
