no IBIS, sensor is not as good (it's 2 gen old, the 16MP from panasonic is newer and the OMD sensor is even better than that).

I have a Nikon V1, which I bought last month. So far, I am pretty disappointed. Not sure if its the DSLRs that I normally use, or if the quality is just bad.

IMO, indoor details are smudged, and the pics are pretty noisy.... even with my SB-N5 flash. I am pretty bummed. I wonder if this would be better. I am probably going to put my V1 on ebay.

I have no doubt that these would product excellent image quality, but you have the negatives of a smaller sensor, while still not being pocketable.

Having said all that, this is a good price, and m43 IMO is probably the dominant mirrorless standard at this point.

To each his own. I had a DSLR and haven't touched it for several years. I ended up giving it to my sister. It's simply too bulky. For 99% of the consumers out there, owning a DSLR is pointless. We are simply amateurs and don't really know how to use it. I needed a camera compact enought that I can take it with me along w/ a laptop in a bag pack and at the same time take good low light pictures and video. The GF5 I bought from Newegg serves both purposes.
