Nice price .
Ive had this tv since last oct and have no complaints . It does require abit of tweeking to get the best pq , but there are plenty of available settings (way more than other brands in this price range and higher) to make most people very happy after the fact . Ive had no problems with IR at all after my extended breakin period , After my 500hr usage mark , IR is not a problem in the least . Pc gaming looks excellant too . Glare may be an issue for some . The only thing that may top this deal curretly is the sale on the Panasonic 55" UT50 plasma (3D Smart TV) at Sears for $700 (pick-up only) Last edited by stereo55; 02-04-2013 at 10:31 AM.. |

Really want to pull the trigger on this but I don't think I can get myself to look past the glare and heat issues with plasmas. This a great price on what appears to be a decent tv. Gotta go pickup Zombieland from yesterdays deal so I'll swing by and take a look at it.

I have the 60" version of this tv and love it. Paid $800 which was a good value price. So 50" for $500 seems like a good price also. Can't beat the $700 60" u50 from panasonic from a couple days ago though. The great thing about these models is not having to shell out money for network features. So you can save money, heck maybe put it toward an htpc then. No sacrifice of picture quality though. You really only have to deal with glare, so just get some curtains (solves problem for most).

Anybody know if this TV would be good for playing video games? (mostly XBOX 360) I have no experience with plasma when it comes to video games.

I got this when it was $399 at Dell.com in December. I think you can do better on price if you put this on a price watch.
It does have a great picture. |

You think the input lag is bad? Just curious what makes you "think" that? Do you personally own the TV so your speaking from experience? Because if you personally own the TV you would not think its bad you would know its bad right? Just you repeating to me you think its bad is not really helpful
