I couldn't even figure out how to apply Shoprunner on FTD.com--I usually see the icon to login, but I didn't see it anywhere all the way through checkout. Anyone figure it out?
It is automatically applied if you click on the link in the OP. The promo says it's only good for ShopRunner members, but they don't ask you to log in or anything at any time during the checkout process. The way you know that the discount is being applied is that the service & delivery fees will show as $0. Just to compare and see what they would normally be I opened a new browser and went to FTD.com and my delivery fee would be $17, so if I use ShopRunner I can save $17 but if I get the Groupon deal of $40 for $20 then I'll save $20. So for me the Groupon was the better deal.
Sorry, re-edited my earlier post--it showed it up through "Place order"; when I clicked place order, it rejected the egift cert. gah!
Okay. I just tried again and got this message:
Your promotional code cannot be combined with other special offers. See restrictions for details.
I think FTD and Newegg should chat... there, you can use Shoprunner, promo codes, AND get mail-in rebates. I don't think my girlfriend would appreciate being given a brand-sp@nking new XFX Radeon HD 7850 for Valentine's Day, though.
Before going with either FTD or Proflowers, best to google a local florist for the area you're looking for. It's not uncommon to find websites for the local florists you can order directly from, and in my experience the prices are slightly better than the big guys. You put money into the pockets of real small business people who are working hard, AND you get much better quality product. *That's* slick. Skip the nickel-and-dime savings for dead flowers arriving days late crap.
"NOTE: This free shipping deal does NOT stack with the FTD Groupon.
I called in and a supervisor agreed that the two promos should stack. She took care of it with no issues. She only asked for the source code which is 34270(in browser URL). "
I was able to call in and have the "ShopRunner" discount added to my ordered using the "$20 Off $40" Groupon.
Thanks! For what it's worth, I was just able to do this with the eGifter promo code, without having to go to a supervisor. Ordered online, called in, provided order number and said I had a gift card I wanted to use on the existing order.
Provided the gift card # and after a short hold was told that it applied successfully and took $15 off my order. Calling in with a groupon would probably be a better deal if you're spending over $40.
Bundle this with proflowers and we have a slick deal. I feel like FTD's prices are about in line with proflowers + shipping. Shipping always kills these "specials" at these flower shops. Nothing like choosing a couple of days early, giving it a "2 day window" and still watching as $10-15 is tacked on.
