Because this is a tested proven good quality toner for a very popular toner model. I have bought these many times for the two MFC-7860DW machines that my office uses. As you can see on my review on the meritline site (I am user DC), I find these toners to be PERFECT REPLACEMENTS for the oem toners. They even seem to be DARKER, and the ink doesn't rub off as easily as compared to the oem toners. The first toner I bought was an oem model. I've also bought this toner for the HL-2270DW and it works very well. I buy re-manufactured toners for a lot of printers and a lot of times they are no good. I started just buying the cheapest ones I could find on ebay and then learned the hard way that it is better to spend a little more to buy from TRUSTED SELLERS. These Merax brand toners are TRUSTED. I have also heard good things about the Linkyo brand.

Yes, we are now in the day and age where we can review brands of RE-MANUFACTURED INK/TONER. Crazy. Another brand I like is Inksmile.

If your cartridge was working when it ran out of ink you might consider refilling it. Its cheap and takes maybe 5 minutes. Here's a 2-pack refill kit (90g of toner I believe is exactly whats in the OEM TN450 so you should get the stated 2600 pages or so) so you can refill your toner cartridge twice for next to nothing.

Yeah with shipping its $7+ but if that gets you 2 refills as compared to spending $12+ each for 2 TN450 cartridges, I'd sure consider that a good deal.

No I haven't tried this yet. With how much I print even the starter cartridge is going to last me years but just mentioning this as an alternative because I'm sure that those manufacturers who refill cartridges basically do nothing more than this kit allows them to. Less than $2 for a refill, 5 minutes time for someone they pay less than $10/hour and they sell the refilled cartridge for $12+.

I purchased and installed the Amazon cartridge late last year and it's still running great. It is not missing any tab and looks identical to the cartridge that originally came with the printer. Here is the review that explains how to install and change your settings to make sure the cartridge continues to print past warning (and, if you want, make the warnings cease).

i bought it last time on SD last year, probably?, It leaked and caused black powder spilling all over. I ended up buying another printer. I do not recommend it.

The Meritline carts are junk. I bought a bunch of these supposedly TN-450 replacements over the course of two years for my office, my family, and myself. They all had issues with either
1) Streaks that couldn't be fixed only a few hundred pages in
or
2) Lasting only 500-700 pages (barely a ream of prints) before fading.

These are junk. Buy the ones off of amazon that have been linked repeatedly - they're infinitely better!

You people and your "high capacity" cartridges. Don't you realize how many more tragic pages get printed because of this?

Why aren't everyone buying refills for their TN450 instead of the non-OEM toners?
