Thread Details

I figure this is a great deal if any of you want to unload a Sprint S3 since I don't even think they go for that much on craigslist! Save yourself the hassle of listing, shipping, selling, and potentially getting stabbed or scammed.

I am a craigslister myself but the shadiest people I have ever met was when I was flipping phones and buying used car audio equipment.. I am definitely more alert now.

if the link doesn't work, you can try this too:

and search for "Galaxy S III"
Some models sell higher then others.

It's sounds like a deal but they sell them expensive where I live.

I just sold my Sprint SGS3 on CL right after Christmas for $400 but it was new in the box...

I wouldn't call this exactly "hot" @$300... but you're right about one thing--Sprint phones, at least up here in the PNW, are tougher to move.

I'm testing an unlocked Pantech Burst (best phone value in America at about $100 on craigslist/ebay) and will get back to this site with the results on both PlatinumTel TRUEpayGo and T-Mobiles $30 unlimited data plan, making almost all calls on GV.

Check these specs for ~$100:

Can you find them new with full U.S warranty for $100? That would be a pretty decent deal.

Sprint's SGS3 is definitely the lowest in value. I think this is a great TIV for that one. for the AT&T one, it's easier to sell, as it supports 3G/4G almost everywhere in the world

before my trip to europe back in Nov I tried to find one for around $120, in a major metro area, but failed...they are not that easy to find, at least at that price. I ended up using my HTC Rezound with global ROM

Wow, Rebel, I've purchased 5 units in the past month for me, friends, and family. A couple on ebay and three on craigslist north of Seattle. There were only 2 or 3 posted at any time on CL, but all of the owners were very anxious to sell (I assume due to lack of responses/interest. Posted for ~$150 and taking $100 or less). There are plenty available on ebay.

The SD effect may change that, as I've been singing the praises of this unit (not my find, by the way, another alert SD user posted about it and I picked up on it).

The main specs that sold me were:
  • beautiful screen, ample memory & expansion, dual-core 1.5GHz processor
  • Wireless Technology - GSM/GPRS
  • LTE 700 (Band 17)/AWS (Band 4); HSPA+ (CAT 10/14); Tri-band UMTS (850/1900/2100); Quad-band EDGE - Edge High Speed Data Network
  • BLUETOOTH® Technology - Bluetooth® v3.0
  • FOTA capable - upgrade Firmware Over the Air
  • FREE UPGRADE TO Android 4.0 ICS
  • 4G LTE - Band 4 and 17
  • 16gb (expandable to 48gb with 32gb microSD)
  • 4.0" Super AMOLED™ WVGA

con: rather poor battery life & speakerphone

Thanks for the info. Everywhere I asked they want $300 or more but if anyone can get it way cheaper... Sounds like a good deal though.
