Good deal if you didn't get in on the last sale, I'd want to say some were 75% off, but I don't think that's the case, I think they were 50% off like 9 months ago. I bought all of them I think back then.

Yea FF8 you effectively grind by spamming "draw magic" ability to stockpile 100 of all the best magic spells in the game and then those augment your stats, and by using items to craft the best weapons.

Random encounter enemy grinding wise, the game is actually easier to beat at a low level than a high one.

Just beat FFIX again this week while out of town and the game does not necessarily require you to grind. However, the key is to know the enemies' weaknesses. If you go into a boss battle blindly, especially at a lower level, you will have a very hard time. And honestly, I don't think there is any way to tell their weaknesses without reading a guide, or dying first and retrying with the knowledge you just learned.

Example: A boss early on in the game constantly casts Confuse, which crippled my party. After I died, I retried the battle, but equipped everyone with Clear Mind, which prevents confusion. The battle was over before it began.
