Touchpad discount worked fine for me!
Couldn't find many reviews, but the one on Amazon reported that a lot of the features don't require Windows 8, and that pinch-to-zoom works even on Windows XP.

I am kind of on the fence at the $35 price point for the Lenovo Remote.

Can't have a 2.1 set up on my small desk, in my small apartment.

Bought yet another remote, these things are great.

Mind you, the cheaper $25-30 ones are NOT backlit. I have one upstairs in my bedroom and we use it every night, and a year later, we're still on the same set of batteries. Works great in XBMC and Netflix/Windows.

I grabbed another remote at Fry's this weekend and had to take it back immediately, just because of what this Lenovo had me to believe. The Lenovo in my unit upstairs has the dongle in the back of the computer, and is still able to pull the signal from 15-20 feet away, whereas the other remote didn't go more than 10 feet, and had to be line of sight. Saw this, and without hesitation ordered it.

Glad I didn't have to make due with another remote, when I can just happily get the real deal.

It's a good remote, great reviews. They made real improvements on the previous version, which also got good reviews. I've used the original model and this one. This version has a backlight and a better trackpad, keys are better too. I've used it at quite a long range, perhaps 25 to 30 feet. Most importantly, for watching TV from a computer, whether it's an Android stick, Windows PC or other device that allows a keyboard, there does not seem to be anything better.

If you're using it for a media center or home theater remote, it's not worth getting the non-backlit model. Non-backlit remotes in darkened rooms are awful, get the backlit version or don't buy at all.

$35 is the cheapest I've seen these in months. Bought two in November, the last time they had them on sale.

I was wondering if I can use this on my TV, which has a dual core processor built in? My tv model is Samsung PN60E7000. Any help would be nice
