Can This PC Set Up Be any cheaper?
I am purchasing a new computer. I need a computer to make music using Digi Design Pro Tools, reasons, and Frutiy Loops. I found this set up for $1,075 @cyberpowerpc.com: These are the specs: How can I make it more at the $800 range? I am sure I don't need it to be this powerfull. Sure, just head on over to the Dell Outlet [dell.com] & look for an XPS 8500.
Don't worry about the amount of RAM or whether it has an SSD - you can add both of those cheaply after the fact. |
|
That really doesn't look like a good deal to me after a quick glance. Why do you need such an expensive case? The GeForce 610 isn't much of an improvement over the built-in Intel graphics, can you remove it? Are you sure that you need the Xonar sound card? A 600W PSU is way too much for that system.
Why not just build your own? Do you live near a Microcenter? |
|
Thanks I did not think of that . It shaved quite a bit off the setup although I will still order seperate later. |

Im 30min from buffalo so im sure there is a Microcenter nearby. |

Thank you guys for all your help. I have no idea how to put a pc together. I think I've found a good deal, with this setup, from ibuypower. I priced the same setup as if I was going to attempt to build it myself. It was almost equivilent to this one, minus the chance of me setting my house on fire.

I guess it's not bad if you don't want to build one yourself. Here's what I came up with trying to match the parts in that build.
http://pcpartpicker.co Though you could do better for less if you did build yourself, especially if you won't be gaming and don't need a video card. http://pcpartpicker.co Last edited by bondiablo; 02-09-2013 at 04:58 AM.. |
