Fluval 105 on clearance (YMMV) at Petco B&M @ $27. Fluval 205/405 models on clearance too!

Got a 105 today for $27 at the Petco in Orange, CA. It was not marked clearance, shelf tag was still $119.99. I took it to the counter and asked them to scan, and the system showed the $27.

Anyone up to throwing up their receipt the manager wants me to prove it. :|

Great news! Your lucky the employees at your local Petco were lazy and didn't update the prices on the shelves to reflect the Fluval x05 clearance prices. I know it is a long-shot, but I am going to pass by a couple of Petcos tomorrow to check-n-see if I luck out. Wish me luck.

I picked up a Fluval 105 canister filter last week at Petco. Sorry for the delay. It was marked as being on 'clearance' for $27.00 just below an empty spot on a shelf at my local store. I called up a couple of other nearby stores and scored one across state lines (cheaper tax too) about 27 miles away (fyi, my local store is 12 miles away in the opposite direction). If you are in the market for either a power and/or canister type filter and your aquarium tank is sized 25 gallons or less, I do not believe you can do much better in terms of filtration than with this 125GPH quality filter. It is quiet, efficient, and offers truly superb filtration. I certainly couldn't have cared less when this deal came around shortly after, as I just put up an ad on CL for the Penguin 170 that came bundled with my recently acquired used fish tank setup.

P.S. - I used the PetSmart $10 off $60 coupon found here to discount the price even further. However, that coupon expired on the 3rd. So, if anything try this one instead. (I've used competitor coupons ahead of the dates before w/o issues.)

Picked up a 105 in NW Indiana for $27. Store manager gave me a dirty look when I asked him to price check since the display only showed the x06 prices, then was in shock when he saw the price. I've popped in at a few others in the Chicagoland area and haven't found any more x05 series in stock. Might try calling the few I haven't stopped at.

Has anyone tried to get any other stores to price match? I'd love to find a 405...

I ended up calling, since the stores don't have an online inventory checker. Although, I don't know how much I'd trust the employees there to check the stock for me. I doubt they'd dig behind the boxes, but rather just look at the ones at the front of the shelves. (I'd dig around and look behind EVERYTHING just to be sure )
