DOnt know about this one, but i bought 2 new laptops for friends in past month and both WIn8 and neither had touchscreen(Samsung and HP)

They will have to ship with the low graphic card because Intel HD 4000 is integrated inside the i7 CPU. Newegg is being careless and didn't include the GT635M info in the overview page.

The i5 version of this was $550 a montho or so ago. But for an i7, that's a fancy deal!

Noob question I know, but I'm thinking of getting this and installing Windows 7 on an SSD. Would I buy an SSD drive and an adapter like this

Well, not sure about the cd-rom adapter... but if all else fails, you could just run just the ssd and dual partition it for whatever os you want on it.

Not all laptops (or even ultrabooks) with windows 8 are touchscreen. You need to get the model that says touchscreen in the description, something like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6834215628.
