Htc evo v 139.99

Why do people keep asking about this? I don't have an Android phone, but is it really that big of a deal to have the latest OS?

Can this be rooted/unlocked to work PagePlus?

Warning about this phone! I used to have the Motorola Triumph. It was a piece of junk. The EVO works great, but has one major problem. It doesn't always ring when receiving calls. I've seem many others have this issue. I have elderly parents and am on emergency call all the time, so I can't miss any calls. I got so fed up that I got a 2nd regular flip phone with Page Plus Cellular. I now have to carry around two cell phones.

The EVO is still great for data, GPS, Internet, etc. I have a Google Voice number which forwards calls to both my EVO and PagePlus flip phone. The flip phone always rings 2-4 times before my EVO. Sometimes my EVO won't ring at all. I don't think this is an EVO issue, but a Virgin Mobile issue. This may even be in my area (Los Angeles). I've spent countless hours with them on the phone, but it doesn't go anywhere.

VM is still the cheapest if you want data and a smartphone. But be warned about it's problems. I hate carrying 2 phones, but the plus side is that I'm now on Verizon and the Sprint network!

Virgin mobile is trash. I ran a sprint Galaxy SII Epic Touched (esn spoofed as an optimus v) on the $25 plan and I left the network for straight talk. It was worth the extra $20 a month for unlimited everything and at&t data speeds.

When I was in England, these people having worst customer service and phone services, seems like they are following this thing to US.

How did you do that?

VM has been great for me. Just cannot use their phones on any other service which does suck. But can be well worth the trade off. for cheaper phone, cheaper plans and no contract involved.

Well, that sounds good to me, because I wanted to buy a cheap smart phone with no contract plan for my daughter for her to use during emergencies or when she wait for pickup and all.
How is their coverage.
I guess Metro PCS also better than VM.Of course before T-mobile bought them.
