Milwaukee M12 Red Lithium 12-Volt Cordless 3/8 in. Hammer Drill/Driver Kit - $89

I am on my way to pick one up for $64.99. Here's how it went down:

I was called by the Home Depot that I had ordered mine from. They only had the display model left. I had the associate talk to a manager and he said they would take an additional $25 off. They couldn't find the case or charger so they just stole a case, charger, and two batteries from a new display model they just put out. Still kept the $25 off. Here's hoping the batteries are the new red lithium ones! Killer deal for $65!!!!

Glad I ran across this post. I bought their clearanced 18v Makita hammerdrill two weeks ago, but never broke the seal on the case, hoping to get a better deal before I needed it. This drill is almost $100 less, and a 12v lithium powered drill will meet most homeowners' needs. Can't beat a hammerdrill when you have to punch a hole in masonry.

HD is more inconvenient than Lowes for me, but they seem to outdo Lowes on deals nowadays.

I would've loved to have the milkwaukee drill driver when I was looking for one last year, but the red lithium wasn't out yet and I had lucked upon a clearanced Bosch set at Lowes.

I don't know about anymore, but last year the 2410 was the best 12v drill/driver out there, and this model is an upgrade of that.

This is an excellent deal. I had been waiting for a good Milwaukee M12 deal for a while, but stumbled onto the Dewalt 12v 4 tool deal last week. Got them yesterday and used them a little already. Very pleased with the quality for the price, but I still wish they were Milwaukee due to the robust accessory range they have right now.

I was in the same boat. Bought Bosch 18v Drill driver last night from Lowe's for $89. Model is discontinued on Lowe's but call in the store and they might have it in-stock. Item no. 329087. Model# DDBB180-02.

I have this and its a very nice, reliable tool.

Final comparison question this or the Dewalt DCK210S2 on Sears site for $122. The Dewalt set is impact and screwdriver set - 2 tools for 30 more and better battery. Any thoughts?

Depends what you need it for. Neither of those tools have an adjustable chuck which is useful for when you want to use small drill bits or even change sizes of adapters. I use my drill a lot to do electrical work and being able to clamp the wire leads into the drill and spin makes for a nice, tight look on the wiring so I can wrap it. I personally would rather have one drill that can do everything than two that can do most. Milwaukee has never let me down.

Unrelated- I just went and picked up the "display" model for 64.99 from my local Home Depot. They threw in a brand new drills case and batteries and the thing is awesome. I'm used to the 18v power but this little guy is more than capable of 90% of uses I'd ever need around the house. I'm VERY excited to put this guy to use!

I just picked one up, but have a question. Did your charger cord come tied up?
Mine looks like it was returned or a display unit.

Mine was tied up and battery was in a sealed unopened pouch. I did ask to open mine before I left, as the outside box looked a little worn. I'm charging up the battery now to give it whirl.

My cord was tied up and batteries were open...of course they told me it was an open box/Display and took and additional $25 off...so there's that.
