Personally, I would pass. Definitely a a RROD risk. I'd pay a bit more for a slim. More reliable and quieter.

Yes, it is. I can attest to it.

Wii's are pretty easy to softmod, after which you can load all your games to a USB stick or external hard drive.

I don't know about other consoles, but we have two modded Wii's and we use them all the time.

FYI, Sony is making a big announcement this month. Could it mean price drops in vita/ps3? who knows.

Cowboom's stuff has always been good to me. They tend to rate down their items quite a bit. A "6" should be vitually like new.

That said, $150 for a PS3, $40 for a Wii, or $100 for an old-ass Xbox 360 waiting to go RRoD isn't that good to me. (Paid $90 each for our six 250GB 360 Slims, $105 each for the four 320GB PS3 3001s, and $15 for our single black Wii with 3 controllers. ) Deals are out there, you just have to find them.

My experience is yes if you aren't imprudent to their rating system.

I bought a PS Vita from them, it was rated at a 6 and the system was FLAWLESS. Not a single scratch.

My Wii was the same way, rated at a 6, perfect condition.

A cellphone I bought from them, rated at a 5 had only a few scratches, true to its word in their description. The screen had no scratches whatsoever.

Personally, I wouldn't buy anything that isn't a 5 or higher.
