Because i read that sometimes the seal isnt on there and that you wont get the manufacturer's warranty...which seems sketchy

Well, you can probably assume as a general guideline that warranty is void when buying used.

Some companies allow transfer of ownership, but most don't and require an invoice as well.

But the point is, it isnt used. on the product page it states it is : New
- Fully functional

Apologies. I haven't bought anything new from them, so no comment there. I would say however, that if the product is "NEW" the the box should be unopened and the item completely untouched.

If it is opened, create a paypal claim against them or request a credit charge back.

I would also like to think that a company as big as Cowboom wouldn't pull shady tricks like that, especially when labeling something a "NEW"

i love buying used electronics but it doesn't make sense for me to buy anwhere but ebay since I can actually get a squaretrade warranty cheap. Anybody know how you can get warranty when you buy elsewhere?

Wii games are basically on DVDs, which means the max size is around 8gb. Most are only single layer, so ~4.5gb. Of that, most don't fill up the space all the way, so they can have dummy data stripped out. As far as I know, there's only a few games that actually fill up an entire dual-layer disc, and some can be exceptionally tiny. So, depending on exactly which games, I'd guess between 1 and 200. In more realistic terms though, I'd guess 5-10.

You can get squaretrade warranties for non-ebay purchases.

Just double checked on this for PS3. Coverage only available for new
devices bought in the past 30 days.
