Great deal. Period. This probably won't last long as they usually don't want any coupons to apply to the xps 12. The last one that worked only functioned for about a day and then they stopped it saying that the xps 12 isn't "laptop" so it doesn't qualify. Thanks.

I was looking at getting something like this but I’m one of those that like to see the product I’m buying especially when I’m spending over $500. Also, I would like to get feedback from actual owners. What is the actual battery life on this unit? I don’t trust the mfr. spec on this since it’s almost never true in battery time.

My old tablet PCs were better for productivity work ( Wacom digitizer).

They have they same warranty as new units and look new as well. Only difference is the sticker they paste on the bottom of the unit. I've never had any issues with Dell Refurbs.

Dell refurbished units are as good as new. I've made multiple purchases from Dell Outlet, and all functioned perfectly. The only one that wasn't in a like-new state was a scratch and dent desktop that had a 1-inch paint scratch on the side.
This question comes up in most Dell Outlet threads, and you'll hear the same thing from other SD'ers. Worse case scenario, they take returns easily.
Some call and "complain" about their order after receiving it for the sole purpose of getting extra discounts.

@Joe - I think it is a great laptop. I had spent a lot time with yoga 13 and surface pro (demo unit at best buy). Yoga 13 is great laptop but once you turn the screen all the way, holding the unit with the keyboard down was really odd for me. Also I felt it was a little too big n heavy to use in the tablet mode. You will really feel it once you hold it with a single hand for 5 minutes or so.

I also spent some time with surface pro 64 Gb. Though I loved it but I didn't see myself using it as my primary laptop. The screen was too small for my taste. Also attachable keyboard means that you always need to place it on a hard surface to use it. If you're in your bed or on couch, you can only use it in tablet mode.

The xps satisfied all my needs. Now you might be looking for something entirely different but in all its a great laptop/tablet, so get one if you can
