Dell XPS 12 Convertible Ultrabook Tablet -Refurbished-$831 + tax FS

I'm curious as to why this thread is still on the front page if the deal is dead??? The coupon code no longer works so why isnt the thread updated with (DEAD)/(EXPIRED)..... because i would love to get it at that price but cannot stand logging on everyday and seeing this on the front page within the top 5 every single time when the deal is dead.

Is there a way to filter dead deals or what the hell, i still don't understand why it's on the front page and doesn't say dead

Finally got mine. It's SLICK.

The "REFURBISHED" sticker on the back is not SLICK though. Helps to ruin the great experience that this sticker does not come off easy. What's the best way to get it off without damaging the notebook itself? I think someone posted Goo Gone... did that work without damaging the finish?

your going to have to go to the dell drivers page. you can access this page easily by swiping your finger in front the right, press search and look for my dell support center. once is loads up click on drivers.

Mine peeled off by itself after a little use.

yea, i just peeled my off. and i was the one who posted about the goo-gone, and that was for some sticky residue on the top of the laptop, not from removing the refub' sticker. although if you do have residue left over from that, it would work the same. just dont' leave it on there for too long...

Just an update on mine, it looks like new and runs great. lI did make the mistake of updating the tracking pad drivers and lost the ability to use it for gestures (even after reverting back to the original drivers). l

I ended up having to use a restore point from before I updated to get it working again. lOther than that, I love it.

Has anyone had any luck installing the WiDi driver? It says it's not compatible or in use whenever I try to install it, but I downloaded it straight off the dell driver page for the XPS 12.

Probably has to do with it being set to 125% scaling by default. Try changing the scaling to 100% in the display personalization menu

Anybody have issue with certain pages hanging or slow to load when browsing? My wifi is fine when using my other laptop but for some reason I notice that certain site using xps 12 just take several seconds to load properly. Also notice the touchpad becomes unresponsive at time as well.

Mine is still having these issues:

- Unable to install WiDi ; says not compatible or give me errors during install.
- TrackPad goes unresponsive for a sec or two (driver updates make no difference)
- Wireless still looses connectivity for not reason

For those to put the computer to sleep; does your wifi regain connectivity fast (reconnects) or stays connected during sleep?

I've been trying to do this since the last two days with no luck. Widi 3.0 compatibility was one of the key features for me. I almost ordered a tv adaptor when I realised that my tv has inbuilt widi. I was so excited but dang it..... It makes me really mad coz I know Intel's standard answer is, if the software is not on the laptop, it is not supported. This might not be the case with this laptop as we know it does support widi. I opened a ticket with Dell but it doesn't sound like this will have an easy fix Even though Intel might have to issue a patch but I blame Dell. I mean, you have widi 3.0 as your usp on the spec page and you don't put the software on the retail build....seriously? 10 stars to QA......</rant>

As other users have stated, I do see the occasional touch pad issue. The only work around I've found so far is that the moment the touch pad stops working, just use the touch screen to complete that one function and then fall back on the touchpad. This is not a solution but it doesn't get me as frustrated now. They definitely need to issue a patch for this.

I saw the wifi issue twice so far where it didn't automatically connect to my home network. Other than that I haven't faced any issues.

So far I love this laptop, I just hope they fix widi and touchpad issues soon. I'll update if I hear back from Dell.

Oh and I forgot one more issue. For some reasons the pinch to zoom doesn't work in Chrome(desktop mode). However, it works really good on IE. I was really amazed to see how smooth it was, almost as smooth as gs3 lol

The only issue is that I hate IE. Does anyone know how to make it work in Chrome?

Thanks but that's not it.

This is too annoying so I think I may dump Firefox on this thing.

IE and Chrome seem to work well.
