Dell XPS 12 Convertible Ultrabook Tablet -Refurbished-$831 + tax FS

I've been trying to do this since the last two days with no luck. Widi 3.0 compatibility was one of the key features for me. I almost ordered a tv adaptor when I realised that my tv has inbuilt widi. I was so excited but dang it..... It makes me really mad coz I know Intel's standard answer is, if the software is not on the laptop, it is not supported. This might not be the case with this laptop as we know it does support widi. I opened a ticket with Dell but it doesn't sound like this will have an easy fix Even though Intel might have to issue a patch but I blame Dell. I mean, you have widi 3.0 as your usp on the spec page and you don't put the software on the retail build....seriously? 10 stars to QA......

I got the WiDi driver to install after updating the Intel ProSet/Wireless driver using the one on Intel's site. I installed the version with the included software and finally the WiDi driver installed without error. I had previously updated the graphics driver using the Intel site, so that may also be a requirement.

I don't have an adapter to test the connectivity, but the software is scanning for adapters and looks to be working.

wish i got in on this now. Please let me know if anyone finds another coupon that works!

Thanks for the links....even though the auto detect utility said I had the latest drivers, I download the drivers from the link and it solved the issue. However, my computer can't find the tv while tv picks up the computer. I think it might be channel issue, I just need to play with my router.

I think all Win ultrabooks suck right now.
It has been months that I am waiting and no one was able to come up with a full HD crisp bright touch screen with decent battery life and keyboard layout (not like Zenbook). One messes up the ergonomics, the other makes it too heavy, most have poor battery, and almost none are 1080p, which is one the laptop market for +3 years. I don't know what these guys are waiting for (may be for Apple to dominate the market again) but they either need to fire their CTOs or should join forces and make a solid device. I don't want too much: 3rd gen i5, +6GB 1600MHz RAM, 13" 1080p clear touch screen, 128GB SSD. They can't tell me now the battery life is hard to achieve with 1080p touch, cmon there's a small SSD and power saver 3rd gen i5 there, eliminating the need for an external GPU. Or screw battery life too, just somebody build my humble/decent/reasonable laptop. I have no idea what those Asian companies and Dell will do when Apple comes with retina full HD touch, may god help'em as Apple stores are already flooding with ppl. Even I will go Apple by then..
