Batman: Arkham City: Game of the Year Edition (Xbox 360) $20

Rookie mistake...never ever buy a videogame at full price. Buy a few used games to create a backlog and then buy the new games you want when they get down to $20 or under. It doesn't take long. I have such a huge backlog that i refuse to buy over $10 now. Games like god of war 3 and uncharted 2 are no better the day they are released than a year or two later. In fact, by the time they get down to $10, they are usually GotY editions and are even better due to the freebies. Don't worry, you'll learn soon enough.

Great game, especially if you watched Batman: The animated series back in the day (Same voice actors). It has a ton of content, it is a must buy for $20.

Ended up picking it up and added this cologne in as a filler.
I already have it and after buying expensive cologne for years I'm hooked on this brand.
Awesome stuff if you're looking for a cheap filler, its only $8 and smells fantastic.
Not that any of us will need to be wearing cologne because we'll be locked in our apartments playing Batman.. haha

Or preorder your AAA games at Best Buy for the $20 reward certificate back, then price match them down to $40.

To whom do you match them at $40 for a new release. Either way it's still more than $10 and you know you won't get to that game for at least a year anyway...and then you'll end up spending even more for DLC.

Only time a new release purchase is justified is if you are filthy rich or you just have to play online with other noobs (which can be fun) and you plan on playing on day 1.

That works for single player games, but when you have a bunch of friends who like to play Halo, Cod, etc together, if you don't buy it at launch you get left out. Fortunately Newegg has been pretty good with preorder deals to get most games for around $40-45 recently.

for anyone on the fence, this is an awesome game. bought it two years ago when amazon had the black friday sale for $30 (i think.)
open world where you glide around as batman. lots of fun side missions. def worth $20 considering the number of hours you'll put into it.

The highest profile releases of late last year (AC3, Halo 4, Black Ops 2) were all $40 at Best Buy's price match eligible places multiple times. Admittedly, they did benefit from the extended holiday price matching period, but even then, at least IIRC, all three of them were down to $50 within one week.

Just as an example: I bought Halo 4 full price on launch week, price matched down to $40, got my $20 certificate, and sold my preorder DLC launch week for $27. I got paid $5 after tax to buy the game, and that doesn't even count trading it in for $42.

I forbid myself from buying it as I already have the PC version. And when I'm done with my game backlog 5 years later this will probably be $10 used
