It's can do both, sync upload and download new files to and from the pc/phone/account.

The only problem that box.com has (at least for now) was no selective auto-sync subfolders, so the only place that gets auto-sync are everything inside the designated main folder ("Default sync folder") as assigned by the box program.

This is useless and should be removed from the FP.

I signed up, uploaded a bunch of stuff (10GB) and tried downloading on a different PC and it capped it at 5GB of download.

How do you 'share' the space between the two accounts?

That's odd. I've never been capped and I use Box.com on two different computers, I've even reformatted computers and reloaded all of the data via Box with no problems.

It was very clear - 5GB limit and if I wanted to download more I had to sign up for their paid service.

Smells of scam to me... I bet if I search I will find some 2 pt print on their website with the limit.

250mb file size limit = FAIL
5gb transfer limit = FAIL

Box.com = FAIL

it shows a 10 GB bandwidth limit. what does that mean?

box.com appears to be down

25GB is great, but their license gives them full rights to copy (and delete) anything I store there and sell/use it however they like. I'll store copyrighted music and e-books. They can't to copy and sell that.


From section 2 B of their license agreement:

License to Box. Customer grants to Box and its contractors an irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to access, use, modify, and delete any information, materials, data, files, programs, ideas and opinions provided or made available by Customer ("Customer Content") through the use of Software for the sole purpose of synchronizing the services made available through the Software with the services made available through the Website.
