Planning to buy a house in Fremont/Milpitas area, CA
Hello,
Planning to buy my first home in the Fremont/Milpitas area in South bay,CA. I've been going to open houses in these areas. Did some basic research online and went through a few forums in slickdeals (mortgage forums).
I tried working with a lady I met at an open house as she sounded knowledgable but she was very pushy, so stopped working with her.
{Slickdeal forum suggests prudential.com for mortgage for their low interest rate (supposedly 3.6). I will check them out today}. Checked with Wellsfargo and there interest rates are 3.75% for 30yrs & 2.875 for 15 years.
Appreciate if anyone can suggest a good Real estate agent and a Mortgage broker.
I can put down 20% down payment but I'm a little confused whether to go for 15 years mortgage or 30 years.
I am 29, married, no kids. 15 years mortgage increases the monthly payment by $1200 which is OK but might get a little risky in case one of us wants to take a break.
Since I am new to the game, appreciate any info/knowledge in this regard.
Thanks in advance,
spdhanraj
