Thanks, but there are so many fakes wrt Apple accessories (even if it says "by Apple"), I just as soon pay the $20 on the Apple website for the peace of mind. Otherwise I'll *knowingly* buy a knock-off for $3. There's even 5% cashback w/ ShopDiscover when you shop Apple.com.

Just an FYI. I bought two of these exact cables (non Apple) from this seller on ebay and they worked with no problems and both sides of the charger work. only $3.89 for each cable

For those interested, the Amazon Basics lightning cable works flawlessly both when charging and syncing and is a few bucks cheaper. I was really surprised by the quality of Amazon's lightning cable.
