I had the same "welded" issue on two separate Craftsman rubber hoses. I had to hammer it gently all around until they cracked, brought it to Sears and got a free replacement. This time I wrapped the hose fittings w/ teflon tape. Both hoses left out all the time. 'just checked one after a 2-week NY freeze... unscrewed smoothly without any sign of corrosion. Rewrapped the hose fitting w/ teflon again 'am sure it'll be ready for spring. For $7 and $1 teflon... why not

oh alright thanks.

got same problem as everyone mentioned here but different brands. Nozzle were hard to come off, guess they were welded and the plastic pieces broke after becoming brittle over time. Have to look at brass nozzles from now on with better design so that they last more than a year.
