was in both of these stores and they had TUMI luggage for low prices

they were clearance items

one marshalls had i believe the vapor line

the 28/30" for $149 and $199>>>same luggage diff price

then they carried the carry on for 239>>>same as the bigger one only more money.

then i went to TJ Maxx and they had the 28/30" for only $99

the luggage was the same or very close to the one at amazon for 495

Honestly, not sure if this is a "Special" sale.

I've seen MANY TUMI luggages in Marshalls from:

San Diego, Encinitas, Vacaville, Roseville, Sacramento, Phoenix, Los Angeles, etc. etc.

Just check them on a monthly basis on inventory.

Some of the Salt Lake City stores, namely the one in Brickyard, get Tumi on a regular basis. It rarely makes it down to clearance, if it does its the T-Tech stuff. My problem with the Vapor is those 4 wheels. Tumi has a hard case with two wheels and its a much easier to use piece of luggage.

I never understand the 4 wheel advocates. I travel 50k to 100k a year and I hated the few trips I tried a four wheel case with. All my Tumi luggage is two wheel.

It's not, but there are people in this world for whom money is no object and they care not what they pay. Or, there are people in this world for whom money is an object, but they too care not what they pay. Generally, we call this second group "Idiots".

I have hundreds of thousands of miles on some of my Tumi luggage. Basically it doesn't look like garbage and fall apart like most of the luggage you see in the carousel at the airport. It may not make sense for Ma and Pa Kettle who travel once a year but if you travel with any frequency, good luggage is a must.

According to an article I just read written by baggage handler (i.e. "baggage-thrower",) the 4 wheel variety are less likely to be thrown down the length of a plane when loading/unloading when you're checking luggage. Checking luggage probably means you're using a full-size suitcase, so there it might make sense, as opposed to carry-ons where it probably doesn't.

t the luggage had multiple markdowns and yellow price stickers on top of the normal red clearance. nobody is even buying them at the reduced price..i went back in 2 week intervals and they were still there...i just bought the high sierra 32" grip at target for $53.oo..so i didn't need this.

i do however have a fine leather TUMI planner from the 90's..very nice

T-tech does not equal Tumi...

come to think of it. it might of been the T-Tech Line. I can't remember. @ $99-$149 for full size TUMI luggage it doesn't matter..especially since they sell the carry on on ebay for $200

Very true... I have a T-Tech Ducati 28in that I use maybe once a year and it looks like hell.

T-Tech IS Tumi, just a different line of their products

http://www.amazon.com/Luggage-Pre...B006GMKOTS

for example

And FYI, this is extreme YMMV because one store might have it while another down the street never does.

It also depends on the neighborhood its in whether its a high value (i.e. rich people) or not.
