Get a Blendtec (or Vitamix, not playing favorites). My parents have one of these, I have a Blendtec. Blendtec hands down better, plus more useful overall. If you are worried about cost (as the Blendtec/Vitamix is more expensive), they have those refurbished Blendtecs for $175 that come up every month or two. This is purpose built and its more for show than practicality. Every time it gets used, the motor smells. It isn't as durable.

Just got my mixer in and it is awesome. Got me some tequila (Make sure it is 100% agave) and some sugar free Margarita mix for some 0 calorie frozen margaritas. I found that the default frozen one is a bit too thin for me. I like a thicker slush so I just let it grind a bit more ice into the drink first. Now for a good weekend.
