I bought a similar (if not the same) kit from Amazon last year, around the same price, I believe. It's definitely worth having around. You can buy batteries from Amazon as add-ons if you need just a little bit more $ to get you FS. If you're in luck, multiple watches in your house will use the same battery, and you can get a multi-pack sleeve. Otherwise, if you only have one watch, buying a multi-pack may not be a great idea, unless you think you have other electronics to use them, like digital scales, blood glucose monitors, cameras/video recorders, etc. Definitely much cheaper than going to a mall kiosk to replace a battery for $10.
Quick tip: notate what batteries you need for all of the watches in your house and keep it with your kit. That way, when you need to replace the battery, you don't have to open up your watch to find out what type of battery it needs, close it up again, and reopen it to put the battery in. I'm not a watch expert, but I can't imagine wanting any dust/debris to get into the watch mechanism if it has moving parts. |

Darnit! It is missing the tool to close the watches. A lot of them require a lot of pressure to close, something you cant do by hand.

I bought a 10 pack of batteries for dirt cheap from amazon, and easily managed to pry the back of my watch...but I could not close the damn thing. I had to go to a watch repair guy and pay a few bucks for him to close it for me.
This kit doesn't seem like it has anything to close the watch after replacing the battery, and the tutorial in the first post makes it sound like it's easy to just pop the back on. Nope, it's not that simple. |

This came a week too late for me. Had to resize my watch I bought online. Some place was asking for $25 and some even more. Finally found a place that did it for $10. I still thought it was a lot since all they need to do was take a couple of pin out and put them back in. Oh well, I bought one for future usage, like changing batteries. Thanks OP.
