They can. When you upgrade to iOS 6 there is a new User License agreement that you have to agree to before you can run it and within that is new compliance rules for app developers. They removed Appshopper and since upgrading I can not get it back. Same with iMame which I grabbed back in the day when it was in the App Store before. iOS 6 makes them just gone.

It will remove jailbroken (unwanted by Apple) software during upgrades. No non-sense about that. All "legit" apps by Apple stay oddly enough.

And so, the thread did degrade into yet another Apple vs Android pissing contest, wherein a bunch of complete strangers did call one another degrading names, hiss and spit vigorously, and did generally regress into elementary school hallway behavior in the name of their cellular device, which is obviously the superior choice.

It occurred later that evening, at least to the more intelligent among them, that no one really gives a crap what kind of phone they have outside of an Internet forum. They reflected on the valuable time they had wasted, and that no one truly emerged the victor.

I'm on iOS6 and I have the "official" iMame app that was temporarily up on the app store on my iPad.
