How many total?
I think it's 8 or 9 books. Something like that.

Might even still be writing some.

Love these books!

Anyone can tell me what's so special about delux edition compared to just regular?

Also in store pick up will have the same price correct?

Thanks!

FYI !!!!!

Barnesandnoble.com and it's retail stores often times have different pricing. If you reserve an item for store pick-up you likely will arrive and be told a different and higher price. The retail stores will not honor the online pricing. My first encounter of this really pissed me off and all the cashier would tell me is that the retail stores charge more because of the overhead of operating a B&M store. Searching online revealed that this is the norm and others were told what seems to be the same spiel.

I would advise people to order online if you want to get it at this price because when you goto the stores for pickup it's probably going to be for the publisher's price next to the barcode.

Thanks for the heads up!
I just checked and read that Publisher has listed this as a bargain book, and on BN website it says that bargain books can't be sold at full price. So I'm just confused now! Haha

Great price but I can not seem to find any other "deluxe" editions of the other books online to make it worth buying this.

This has to be the worst website to use. Links dont work and pages are too big for the screen with no scrollbar.

Good deal though, thankx, in 4 1

Lucky you. I placed my order, waited for them to get more stock in, saw their message to me earlier in the month asking if I wanted them to cancel the order or continue waiting, selected continue waiting, and had it disappear from my orders a week or two ago.

Highly recommend reading this book. If you've seen the show, it might be a little difficult to get into it at first, but indulging yourself in this universe is incredible. The third book 'A Storm of Swords' is hands down my favorite book I've ever read. Slick deal on this one - thanks!

And that "2 more coming" should have a huge asterisk next to it. *If GRRM (or any of us) should live so long. The last two books have sucked donkey beans anyway. But the first three books in this series are certainly classics.

Interesting, read the book first and then couldn't even bear to watch the 1st season. However, even the book was too slow and soap opera like for my tastes. Had to stop after book 1. Probably will watch the show for the rest of the series, but might fast forward through it.

Good timing. Season 3 of the TV Series starts on 03-31-2013, so anyone interested in reading the books has time to get up to speed. Here's the thus far revealed book-to-TV storyline comparison for anyone who's wondering:

Season 1 TV = A Game of Thrones book
Season 2 TV = A Clash of Kings book
Season 3 TV (March 2013) = 1st half of A Storm of Swords book
Season 4 TV (Spring 2014?) = 2nd half of A Storm of Swords book

Season 5 and beyond for TV is TBD if it goes that far. The show is my favorite on TV right now along with The Walking Dead. It's truly incredible, but also exorbitantly expensive to produce, what with the exotic filming locations, diverse (and expansive) cast and crew, and costume budget. There is enough source material in the first five books alone to do 10 seasons of TV. And this doesn't even include The Winds of Winter (Book 6) and A Dream of Spring (Book 7), which will be released in the next several years.

My favorite book series of all time. The characters' breadth and depth are unrivaled and the storytelling is second to none IMHO. Highly recommend A Song of Ice and Fire to anyone looking for a good and immersive reading experience.
