Uh what new models? 8xxx series is just the same 7xxx series but shipped to OEM's and rebranded. No new actual cards until Q4 most likely.

They will be 20-30% better supposedly, and will be released in spring like always. The biggest thing is that they will be NEW and the OLD 600's will go down in price. The real next step in architecture is probably next year.

The wait is killing me.

I've been watching deal alerts for the 7970 for months now after missing the Diamond deal and absolutely nothing but lackluster XFX deals pop up. I wish I jumped on the bundle back when these games were worth a good $40-50 a piece.

I'm pretty sure Nvidia has something lined up for its release in spring.

Nvidia is releasing the GTX Titan which will be around $900 and more of an aim towards the new consoles.

The 7970 ghz edition runs Crysis 3 maxed out at 50-60fps. There is no problems with Crysis. Performance keeps increasing after each new driver released.

It's already been confirmed all video cards delayed to Q4 except the new $900 GTX Titan.

Looks more like a rumor than a confirmation.

Still depressing news for people like me who are in the market for an upgrade. I'm going to have this 260GTX forever.

I have about 10 games lying around that I refuse to play until I upgrade, which is good for getting things done but also causing me to cry myself to sleep every night.

Yea I was in the same boat, the Diamond card was a great deal, I finally picked up an XFX card last go round, with the rebate, cash back and selling the games to a friend for $35 brought the card total down to ~$280 for that price i figured I'd give it a shot.

- Card came through with 2x DVI ports
- GPU-Z shows Core Clock: 1000 MHz; Memory Clock: 1425 MHz...odd ...but i'm not arguing
- card is voltage locked, but it will do 1075-1100; MHz; Memory Clock: 1525-75 MHz

Just running it at the stock 1000/1425 setting now, I'm happy with that.

+1 for catching my eye on the sidebar of the front page with

"SLEEPING DOGS/HITMAN" in bold type.
