And look, that same store has such great customer service you got $75 for free?! Yep, keep complaining. I visit Lowe's often here in Charlotte and its one of the kindest places I shop. I can't fault employees for taking advantage of a great deal. Means they are smart.

No the difference is .. I got a PICK-UP confirmation and my card charged for the item. (along with 4 other orders). I get to the store and they only had 1 of the 5 orders ready. My issue was that they "picked" the order saying it was ready for pickup when they hadnt even gotten off their butts to go look for the product.

The selling it to an employee was just the icing on the cake. I had a confirmed pick-up with my card charged that they "couldn't find" but the employee was buying it right then, and bragging about how the manager sold it to her for 90% off (of the already reduced price that i paid online).

I would have had no issue if they just "no-picked" my order and i got a cancellation email. Its the fact that they said it was ready to be picked up and after driving to the store and waiting 45 minutes they say they dont have it.

NOTE: I have a part time job at a store that does in-store pickups. If i find the product first, i have no problem buying it. But if I am looking for a product for an in-store pickup and I want one, I would NEVER cancel an order to keep it for myself. That isn't ethical.

Oh, yes. That is different. I misunderstood thinking you meant selling a marked-down item to an employee was the issue.

I agree, when something is sold online for pick-up it should be reserved for the party that made the purchase. I have never had such an issue at Lowe's, everything I have bought has been there waiting for me! Perhaps I am fortunate or they are more professional about it at my local Lowe's.

I've never had an issue except at that particular Lowes. It was probably just one lazy employee. Sadly that is all it takes to ruin a reputation

The manager was happy that I brought it up to him because he wasn't aware that it was happening.

And I agree, Selling to employees isnt an issue. Its a perk of a job in exchange for having to deal with the general public everyday.

Happened to me this morning. I think it's a glitch in their already terrible website. Wanted to buy a desk lamp adn there were 8 of one color and 6 of another left. Added one to the cart and it said sold out, removed it and added the other and... sold out. Even after getting the sold out message, when hovering over store pickup, it still showed 8 & 6 left.

i keep getting error -62 while trying to checkout... what's the deal?
