I think I'll write them and ask for my invoice back. If they're not going to send me the cheap garbage I was supposed to get, why should they be able to keep the worthless junk I sent them? That sounds like a good plan to me. Get my "refund" back that way.

That's the thing. It's not a sale or even a price mistake. It's a vendor offering a supplementary cable for folks with a specific issue with their products.

Everyone "piling on" quickly used up their stock and ruined it for those with a valid need. It says right on the page linked to in the original post "valid while supplies last".

OK this sort of thing isn't unprecedented on slickdeals... But I have to admit that the whining by some who missed the deal does rub me the wrong way. I figure if you try for this sort of thing and miss out, it's "OK I took a shot for a freebie that I didn't deserve and missed it this time, move on". Whining is bad form. It reminds me of all the whining here about the free software promo codes that HP was giving out for a while for Touchpads.

OOS for me too. As someone posted, I would have rather they just denied first instead of making me email them my receipt. Other annoying part is that I emailed my receipt pretty soon after he requested and still came back OOS. Oh well.

Ok.....wonder how many requests they will actually fill....since they are oos. I was one of the 1st to send in a request and received the same oos email a few minutes ago. Time will tell.....
