This coffee is good, BUT...

There is a serious design flaw with these K-Cups. The plastic is weak, and the bottoms are too thin. When I put them into my Keurig machine, many times the hole on the bottom DOES NOT GET PUNCTURED!! (The bottom simply pushes up instead.)

When this happens, the machine tries to force the hot water through the cup, but it will not work. I did not realize what was happening, so I tried it a few times. I saw the hole on top, so I thought it was my machine malfunctioning.

Well, eventually it broke my machine. Really!! I had to get a new one. When I got my new machine, it was working fine until I put in a Gevallia K-Cup. That's when I realized what was going on.

I still use the Gevallia K-Cups I have. The taste is good, and I do not want to throw them out. But I always check to make sure the bottom hole gets punctured before I brew. Many times I have to push it down a second or third time for it to puncture. Also, make sure to push down quickly and hard, or it will not work!!

Ditto for me too. I have had this happen a couple of times already with the Gevalia K-Cups. Machine said "Brewing" but nothing was coming out - took out the Gevalia K-Cup and found that the bottom was not getting punctured. These K-Cups have a fluted-design on the sides that, I think, makes the K-Cup too weak and instead of getting punctured, the plastic just bends and deforms. The fluted design is stupid.

My sample came today. What is interesting is that all these kcup samples have ALWAYS come with 4 different samples in the box. This Gevalia sample box comes with only two. Wish there were four!
