Warranty 2 Year Jomashop Warranty

I want an F1 but I'm not sure about buying from Joma on this, I assume they're a grey market importer or something as most of their watches carry their warranty and not a manufacturer's warranty as they aren't an authorized dealer for most of their watches. Not to say they aren't reputable, but for a watch this expensive I think I'd buy it somewhere authorized. I've bought lesser watches from them without issues.

A little bit off topic here, but I'm wondering if anyone has experience or can provide some advice: My husband's Tag is broken, it no longer runs. It is also out of warranty at this point. I've looked at Tag's website, looks like I can ship it to them for repair, and they'll ship it back to me. There is also a watch store around here that is on Tag's authorized dealer list.

So my question is: is it better to ship the watch back to Tag for repair, or should I just do it at a local store? The local store offers a 1 year warranty after the repair. I don't know if Tag offers a warranty if I ship it back.

has anyone done this either way? What's a better way to go? Thanks in advance.

PS does anyone know how much a repair would run? I'm scared that it could be really expensive...

Tag offers a 1 year warranty on repairs also, I wouldn't be surprised if your local dealer just ships it back to them anyways.

Quite a lot of people, actually. These aren't even particularly expensive in the grand scheme of things.... they're only expensive to people who think that a $100 Seiko is a "luxury watch".

I would drop it off locally and ask them for estimate + exact details whats wrong with. Then, you can decide what you want to do.


99% of the time, if it's a tag authorized, then they been trained by tag + all parts come from tag.

Even if you ship it back to their NJ repair center it won't extend your warranty. But i would go to their authorized dealer to let them ship it for ya.

The repair cost is high, my little problem with the screw in would cost me about $270. And I would imagine your husband's watch cost a lot more.

But the good thing is if you ship to their repair center they will let you decide whether you want to proceed with the repair or not given you the repair cost. If you decline, they will simply ship it back to you with no addtional charge.

i have one (oris) and i bought my wife a tag for our 10 year anniverary - i wouldn't pay this much for any of these tags (the quartz ones). maybe an auto... and i wish i had bought my wife something different. it's nice enough.
