Did you make sure that you were wearing it properly with the rubber tip on the inside end touching your cheek? When that 'nub' touches your face it sense vibrations from your jaw bone (hence the brand's name) and it uses that to help determine what sounds to let through and what to filter. If you don't have that touching your face then it can't sense the vibrations when you speak and therefore it will not filter out background noise efficiently, and your voice also won't be as loud on the other end. I know most bluetooth headsets are worn in such a manner that there is a small gap between the headset and your cheek, but with this one (and any Jawbone for that matter) you MUST make sure it's touching your face for it to perform how it's designed to.

I have been using refurbished headset from Blueant and other company. The earpiece is always new and no sign of being used.

The fine print says optional ear hook. If it doesn't include one, you can find them on Amazon for less than $5.

BTW: I bought a similar refurb Jawbone from another vedor 2-3 years ago and it came with all new accessories in a sealed bag, so you're not getting someone else's grimy earbuds.

I've used quite a few different BT headsets over the years, and the Jawbones are by far the best as far as background noise cancellation. I just ordered one as a spare.

not a tc - can someone explain why this is fp worthy when a refurb era is ~$38?

I have the jawbone era (basically the same) and lost it at one point for about a month. My friend was walking around his yard while having a yard sale and tripped on something. He looked down and the edge of the headset was sticking out of the ground hahaha. That thing still works perfectly fine and I use it all the time!!! Hahaha I still can't get over it One month! Rain and shine

or that jawbone does not warrant refurb products because they dont directly sell them or make them. So groupon must have said hey whats up 1failaday you got several thousand earwaxed stored returned headsets we will sell them at a discount, but with that discounts leaves you vulnerable to problems. In the end you contact jawbone they say nope aint going to touch it, go contact who you bought it from... another groupon lawsuit

Hey, can anyone verify this is in fact sold by Jawbone or coming from a Jawbone warehouse? I couldn't figure it out for sure from the Groupon page. I'm most likely going to jump on this deal, but just want to make sure before I decide to buy a few (for the fam?)

They seem reliable according to resellerratings. I think I ordered from them before.

According to their website, their return policy is good - 30 days "no risk". So I think we should be good. I actually ordered both and will decide afterward. I'm not cancelling my groupon order yet. Groupon also has a good return policy according to their site.
