I tried to get in on this deal at the Walmart in Lakewood WA (Store #3537). The lady claimed the gift card only was offered for the Galaxy S3, not the S2. Further after standing behind the register for over an hour (really), she was not able to extend my contract by 2 years. They claimed they could only offer a new plan with lower data and more min, which I didn't want.

Either way Best Buy was able to price match without a problem. I didn't inquire about the gift card. I likely should.

Today I got 2 S3 after upgrading my family plan.First paid $100, got $50 GC for the 1st phone and for the 2nd phone paid $100 (used $50 GC from the 1st one) and got $50 GC.

When getting Best Buy to price match, they couldn't find it on the site. I had to give them my local walmart number to verify the price.

Oh....this was the price for Walmart online. I was in store at Walmart today and they didnt carry the Note 2 in store. BB has the Note 2 online for $199 for rewardzone members and $50 in points. But they want to charge me $35 activation fee and I am existing TMO customer...and $40 in taxes.

crap, I missed out on the BB $50 gc reservation....crazy that they do not just offer the gc instead they make you reserve it. seems silly.
