these deals are just too ridiculous....

there's the A6-5400k w/ mobo for $60, then the FX-4100 w/ mobo for $80 AR, and then the phenom II x6 1045T w/ mobo for $80 AR too...

been looking through multiple benchmarks and stuff trying to decide... any help? i'll be mostly using it as a workstation, doing a bit of gaming, and a lot of HTPC use...

Yeah I'm not sure either.. The larger cores seem more "future proof" but idk... :-/

I have the a10k with 4 gigs of ram clocked at 1600 which is the min speed you want for these. But man is this an amazing APU i play any game in mid to high and nothing even stops this thing. i rip dvds and burn them like nothing i have 15 tabs open, spotify, and word and vlc going doesnt slow down. best part is i use it for my htpc setup to with my roku and use plex i can do full hd and no hiccups in all honesty folks this an amazing APU for the price get it!

Here's what I did.

I went to MC & mentioned the deal. They didn't know anything about it (as usual). Either have them pull it up on the computer or show them on your smart phone (I used this method) & they ended up giving me the deal.

I think as long as it's active on their site, they'll honor the deal.

Man, I'm stuck.

It's either taking this and a cheap HDMI mobo, to devise some clever plan to attach this to the back of my entertainment cabinet, or grab a Gateway SX2855 they have on closeout.

The Celeron G460 is about half as powerful as the A6-5400, and certainly can't game, but when you figure the costs of the case, hd, and non-shitty power supply it gets close, and when you consider that the case it comes in looks to be about the same size of a newer Xbox slim... it really starts to get close.

I figure with HDMI onboard, all it'd need would be a power plug, ethernet/wireless, HDMI, and my fave Lenovo multimedia remote, and it'd be the coolest HTPC (well, in the room).
