You'll get crazy newbies who call 3x a day for 2 weeks straight, and post argumentative paranoia demanding the rebate is guaranteed, in writing, by certified mail, on their doorsteps, by tomorrow evening. Then all the other newbie sheep freak out, and THEY call 3x a day, for 2 weeks straight, and the paranoia explodes. And suddenly everyone's carting their paper back to the retailer demanding a refund.
All those who CALLED to confirm.... Your dad should have silently slept that night.
Wow...I don't normally go for AMD bundles but the A6-5400K deal is an insanely good deal. Too bad I already have 3 desktop PCs and my family is going to murder me if I build another system for no apparent reason. Maybe those steamboxes are for real...I can see being able to build an acceptable gaming comp for under $300 with these prices. The A6-5400K is kind of a pseudo-dual core processor though since it's not two full cores but for $60 it makes for a very cheap and usable computer. The A10 would probably make for a pretty decent budget gaming computer with a little bit of an overclock and fast DDR3...
I got the past Fry's deal with A10-5700 and the MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 listed here FAR.
It is a very good combo for a budget build. The APU has a wonderful GPU for HTPC usage. Renders much better then a standalone HD5450/HD6450 for video. Apparently the GPU is a great for budget games but I wouldnt know as I dont play games. Pair the machine with SSD/8GB and is a great low cost workstation.
The MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 is fing awesome. HDMI/USB3.0 finally arrives to budget mobos.
I picked up a bundle with the A6-5400K this evening too. I was considering the mini-ITX board for a little bit, but it has bad reviews and would be an extra $40-50 over the free board. Great deal considering it all comes out to ~$70 after rebate and tax.
