Amazon Video Cards Help
I have a lot of gift cards saved up from Bing Rewards (as much as 80$ worth) and as such I really want a deal from Amazon. Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't pop up often with deals like NewEgg or TigerDirect do so I'm wondering if these current deals are okay:EVGA GTX 650 1GB 100$ (After 10$ rebate) [amazon.com] Sapphire Radeon HD7770 1GB 100$ (After 15$ rebate) [amazon.com] EVGA GTX 650 TI 1GB 140$ (After 10$ rebate) [amazon.com] The three main question for this are which is a better performing card at 100$ the GTX 650 or the HD 7770? And is the 650 TI worth the extra 40$ for performance? Last, does Amazon do deals often enough that I should wait for one? Since it may be important to know to answer the second question I have for an AMD Athlon II X2 250 3.0 GHz processor and 6 GB of RAM. |

If you plan to do any gaming I think the 650 TI is worth it over the other two. There's an MSI 650 Ti at Amazon for $120 after rebate but it doesn't ship for 2-4 weeks.

EDIT: Found another version of theEVGA GTX 650 TI [amazon.com] which is 7$ more pre-rebate and 2$ after. It has a clock of 1071MHz versus the other's 928MHz. Is it something I should pay for or is it something I could do easily with the overclocking software it comes with? (I don't know if Nvidia cards come with overclocking software, though AMD's Catalyst software has it built in.) Last edited by Chuck57841; 02-09-2013 at 10:53 AM.. |
