Because it has excellent picture quality.
I own one, and just ordered another. I also have a Canon S95 which is better and dSLRs, but the 300hs is very good, and very compact. |

Keeps this link handy. You might need it after your warranty ends. Usually if it's going to happen, it's well within the first year. One guy blames dust that gets in camera cases so he doesn't use one. Dust and tiny dirt particles are everywhere.
