The specs look similar to a L505-S5984 model we bought back in fall 2009 for about $400. It's been a great laptop, and not given us any problems, but it is old. This L505-S5971 is also probably from Toshiba's 2009 lineup. It looks like it includes Vista, so that shows it's age. It's a laptop that was probably released at least 3 1/2 years ago. I have no complaints about the L505 series, but keep in mind how old the technology and operating system are.

I have all macs in the house and just need a pc to run some programs on. I'm a console gamer but have a dawn of war addiction so I don't need much out of a laptop. I'm really looking for a 17" plus screen anyway.

This is a CRAP laptop. Its embarassingly bad.

For this price you can get an i3, not a 4 year old laptop

4gb is a lot???? Lol...its STANDARD.
