Paypal Question
I'm considering buying a phone that went unsold on eBay. If the seller sends me an invoice and I pay with Paypal, should something go wrong, would Paypal back me up? I know I could dispute with my CC company, but I don't want to have to close my PP account. Thanks.

PayPal covers transactions that are not eBay related...after all, you can use PayPal to make payments for stuff online through a myriad of other retailers.
If you refer to your husband/wife as 'DH/DW', you're too old to be active on a forum.
If you ask for marriage advice on a(ny) forum, you should seriously reevaluate your life. If you don't know the difference between 'their', 'there', and 'they're', I automatically assume you have a mental disability (same goes for to/two/too and your/you're/yore). |

I had a story like this used Paypal to pay the item almost got scammed (no Ebay involved). Paypal didn't help me out (they froze the account gave 7 days and I asked if there were funds they didn't want to answer I suppose the seller took out the funds and they didn't even attempt push this after the disputed ended). My bank saved me didn't expect them to do the job, but they did so I wouldn't recommend it especially with a high end item.

As long as the seller can prove that he sent you something, PayPal will likely side with him. They may side with you if you argue that the item was not as described, but it's pretty much a crap shoot.
I have degrees in both animal behaviorism and psychology and have come to the conclusion that animals make a hell of a lot more sense than people.

I made a leap of faith and everything worked out. The phone showed up and was exactly as described. Thanks all for the replies.
